Class B (1919-1930)

B11 1939 - Rolls-Royce 25/30HP Wraith Faux-Cabriolet by Van-Vooren

The final prewar model of smaller Rolls-Royce is 25/30HP Wraith released in 1938. The straight six OHV 4.25 liter engine of its predecessor 25/30HP is mounted on the newly developed chassis with front independent suspension. Most of the chassis are supplied to coachbuilders in UK, but there were exceptions like this car. This one has Faux-Cabriolet body built by Van Vooren, a veteran carrossier in Paris. Faux means false or fake in French. It comes from its body style. The car looks like a cabriolet with a foldable soft top with Landau joint, but it actually is a closed fixed top coupe.
