Tokyo Concours d’Elegance
Announcement of pre-event
Announcement of 10 judges.
It was announced by Paul Goldsmith, president of Tokyo Concours d’Elegance, Elite Corporation, that 10 judges have been chosen for the first full-scale Concours d’Elegance for classic cars in Japan, “Tokyo Concours d’Elegance”.
The judges were selected from car specialists and celebrities widely known as car enthusiasts. The 10 judges will inspect 33 classic cars, which will be elegantly exhibited in the Tokyo Midtown Garden. From the starting of each car’s engine the judges will evaluate them for their graceful style, closeness to original condition, historical background and scarcity. Participating vehicles will be divided into four main epochs with first, second and third prizes awarded for each era. Various trophies will be awarded, such as the coveted first prize of 2007, “Best of Show”, and the Classic Car Club of Japan sponsored trophy “Best Preserved Car”, as well as many others.
